1951 BSA Motorbike, fuel tank sought.

Evening, as per title, a mate is restoring a 1951 BSA and is looking for an original petrol tank.

If anyone can help, or point me to someone who could, it would be appreciated.

Here's motorbike, with some replacement tank, should bé a teardrop tank apparently ???

I have tried 2 chrome tanks for 50's bikes. Overall they were quite good for paint and chrome. One had incorrectly placed tank badge holes, the other a damaged petrol tank thread and out of position tank mounting threads. Both were useable and I was relatively happy with them. Note all mounting threads are metric.

Looks like they do a BSA plunger tank.

I bought mine through their eBay shop, they were just over £100 each and the same again in postage, so no import tax.
