Evening all, here's a little repair I did recently for a vintage bike. The owner fitted an o-ring chain which failed catastrophically and smashed the case to pieces.
Parts for 90 year old bike aren't exactly off the shelf so he we was a little distraught. Fortunately another good customer of mine passed him on to me so I could try and put it it back together.
Being old aluminium it wasn't the easiest to weld as it was full of impurities so lots of patience required. There were a couple of pieces missing because after an hour of searching in the roadside ditches he decided to bring back home what he had.
Turned out good in the end and you can't tell.
