so far rewound bosch magneto timed it and found no compression so removed inlet valves and was surprised to see new exhaust valves
pity they were 5mm too big 1200 jd ones i believe removed them and revealed heavily pitted pocketed seats , turned the valves down easily
then after finding another old valve made a redneck valve seat cutter by silver soldering a tiny carbide insert following the seat angle and another directly opposite to remove the ridge at the top , drilled into the top and fitted an 8mm cap screw and lopped the head off with a hacksaw my mate was cursing it turned out to be an inco 625 one, cutting disc to the rescue again driven by the battery drill it worked a treat hopefully be fired up soon
