It has 4 in and out 4 out but one set is very small and only single insulated.Not an electrician but are you sure you have three phase electric. Would have thought the meter should have more connections, three in and three out

Think you need to take the plug apart and check that the only connections are earth, L1, L2 and L3.
Is it making a ticking sound when idling. The scrs should do.
a wiring fault would normally trip on startup,way before striking an arc
