160a stick welder keeps blowing 13amp fuses

a farmer I know once had same trouble while trying to weld his tractor,he came out his house,welded it all up with no problems,i went in to unplug it after we had finished,his wife was going ape,he had took the back off the plug,and stuck a steel spoon in as a fuse,it was glowing bright red when he was welding.

sounds like a tall story to me was the spoon 1 inch long and round whats that smell is it pork .. is it lamb err no its bull...s**t

Pmsl that is 1 BRAVE farmer, ive decided to just get a arc/tig inverter instead of doing the wiring as ive also read up now on here and weldequip website that can be run pretty well on a 13amp supply sensibly

Are you saying you cant measure an inch from the end of a spoon or something similar bend it at 90 degrees and jam in there in theory it would work dont get me wrong its not a GOOD theory

try it,then tell me its a story.ive no need to lie.obviously you aint been a make do and mend person.the spoon was of the flat veriaty.
