160a-200a mig for under £400

hi, whats the best mig of that size range to go for under £400 i be welding 1.5mm-5mm steel on argonshield light, been looking at the clarke 160tm or is there better for that money?

Don't forget the cost of the gas & wire etc. on top of the machine price, is your budget for machine only or all in?

hi mate i sent u a pm reply the other day, yeah budget ist 350-400 for machine and the rest i just buy here and there, got bottle already even though need it exchanged next time i pop to local boc centre, some other bits i can get from work so machine is my main priority

I'd go for something a bit bigger than the 160TM Clarke then...5mm would be absoloute tops for that model...better to have a bit in reserve.
Got some machines in for test at the moment & if they prove to be up to the job you can have one at "shop soiled" price (If they turn out to be sh1te they will go on eBlag with the rest, but they look good so far)
