Hi there,
I fancy a Clarke 151TE Turbo MIG, however, ill be welding outside alot so gasless needs to be an option for me.
I got this reply from a seller.

Yes, it can, although not marketed as dual purpose. I checked with the manufacturers to find out the difference, and been told that dual purpose welders allow you to reverse polarity for flux cored wire. But this is not really necessary for welders below 200 Amps. So this welder will operate with flux cored satisfactorily. I have also used flux cored in my own 180Amp Cebora welder without reversing the polarity.

Is this b*llocks? or true?
Am I better off getting another one? I have a tight budget of £200 and would prefer a clarke. Ill be mostly welding mini body shells/panels and 2mm subframes on rare occasions
