The VAT free doesn't start til saturday, does it Hardeep?

I had a last minute total change of heart after speaking to Dylan at R-Tech and discovering he had one slightly knocked down 180.

It has literally just arrived and is a lovely looking thing with nice strong earth clamp and good looking hose.

I have to do tedious WORK and stuff and also don't have any gas yet so all I can do is look at it and coo.

Think I'm going go with the 151en and get my self a regulator.

Going through this myself at the moment - I was in Machine Mart today, and they told me that the 151 does not come with a UK plug - just open wires , as it is not intended for use with a regular 13A domestic plug/wiring - it needs it own higher amperage feed. Do you have that, then ? Their best selling domestic welder is the 135TE

This is a question that comes up here pretty frequently.

If your wiring is relatively recent then you'll probably be able to push a welder up to around 110 amps on a 13A plug. Many people can and do run 150A on a 13A plug but that's definitely pushing the limits of your home wiring.

My 151en, bought a few weeks ago. See the plug it came with half hidden under the MIG gun...

Also it has 6 power settings, not 4. This PIC also shows the replacement earth lead.

All budget welders seem to have toy earth clamps, and very light leads. You can live with them, but it is nicer to change them, and its a cheap upgrade.
