1500kg vehicle lift. ?

Hi all, whats your thoughts on this,

I've decided its a bit expensive... but it suits my needs, i don't have the room for a two post ramp, but i need some form of lift. i'd have to axle stand it before i went under it but i think it would do.

Thoughts or expirences?

Doesn't look too substantial for a 1500kgs lift.

Think I'd steer clear, I certianly wouldn't want to be under it with that amount of weight on it even with axle stands.

the way they will get round this lift is oy will not be intended for working under

CJ autos make lots of interesting kit, and they are a real company not just ebayers. If you have a proper 2 or 4 post ramp you'd be safe going under without extra precautions, any other sort of car lifting kit you need to be safe. That thing will lift a light car up and tilt it, you'd be an idiot to go under it without some big axle stands scaffold poles logs or similar propped in there as well.

I'd have one myself - might get one when I move house. One of the guys in my workshop has something like this so I am told - not seen it yet, will report back if it's one of these.

What will you be lifting with it ian? if its a mini or some newish econobox or the like, it may possible be up to the job, but I wouldnt want to pick up my landie with it and test their rated claims...
It just doesnt look substantial enough, in the pivots for the pads (which are hollow tube too!) and the frame in general etc, and I'd like to see the acme nuts etc.
It might be a vehicle lift, but vehicle covers trailers, garden tractors, quads, etc etc. It just doesnt look solid enough...
I think I'd rather dig a pit (*dons tin helmet and hides under the desk*)

Hi Guys,
the conclusion i've come to is it would be ok for low height servicing or to lift onto axle stands,
My regualr car is a sierra but i regualarly work on the smaller stuff, fiestas / clios / puntos.
