Don’t plug in a load bigger than 13amps, or 10amp if continuous (most sockets aren’t actually rated to take 13a continuously). That's almost helpful information

They redid the british standard recently, you can get 13a sockets to the new standard, marked up EV designed to take a continuous load for much longer, born from people plugging in EV granny chargers for hours on end.9-10 times seems to be the most you can repeatedly boil a kettle before you can't get the plug out of the socket...
I didn't know that! Handy for when the hot tub goes back on...They redid the british standard recently, you can get 13a sockets to the new standard, marked up EV designed to take a continuous load for much longer, b
Is there any reason why you're switching to 13A sockets? If you're worried about running at the max load for the socket regularly would it not be more advisable to swap the plug on the appliance for a 16A one? At least they'll handle 13A continuous. That's almost helpful information
