12v dewalt

I've got 3 Bosch 10.8 / 12v combi drills and think they are great. One gets used at work every day and is bashed about but keeps on going. I also have the 18v Bosch drills but always go for the 12v ones as they work so well, I've framed out most of my house with it. They will easily drive a 4"x8 screw into timber and do dozens on one battery. I've also bought the 12v circular saw & angle drill.

I had 2 sets of Dewalt drill/impact 10.8v they were in the nice Dewalt handbags and even though i have the 18v stuff the 10.8 is useful round the house as it is smaller and i can get into tight spaces but as i had 2 sets i gave a set to a lad in my extended family to get him started out.

The 10.8v pair are the only DeWalt tools i own, took a while to find the right tool one job i do involves fitting hundreds of runners and small hinges. 3 and 3.5mm all between 12 and 15mm long. Everything else I tried would just spin the screws in MDF without the clutches operating.

get the bosch, mine gets used all the time, dewalt is to big to see any benefit

Ps all my 18v is DeWalt

I thought that. I love my 18v DeWalt kit but if I wanted something smaller it would be 12v Bosch or Milwaukee, on a smaller tool I prefer their smaller battery design that slot in like old NiCads rather than slide on like DeWalt's offerings.
