Hi guys. I'm in need of a decent cordless grinder for work and would really appreciate your advice. It will be used mainly for grinding bits of stone and cutting rebar etc. I have a few Makita tools so was thinking one to work with the same batteries would be sensible, so I went on their website to look at 115mm grinders and noticed they also make 125mm tools too.
Now I'm a bit stuck. I'm thinking that the 125 will offer a bit more service out of cutting discs, and shouldn't be too much more bulky than a 115? But if I'm honest I know nothing about the 125 tools. I've never used one or even seen one I don't think?! The bore size is the same so I guess a 115 disc will fit a 125 anyway if needed? The RPM rating should be higher on the smaller discs if they vary at all, so that shouldn't be an issue? The slightly deeper cut may be handy occasionally for thin slabs too, although I'd usually use a 230, 300 or 350mm cutter for those.
There's about £20 in the purchase price so that's irrelevant. Which one should I buy and why?!
