I have to stick up for Bosch here - ive got 2, the first one has shot bearings after alot of use (so is noisy but still works fine - and lets face it angle grinders tend to get abused even with our best intentions!) the second is going strong. Cut through everything from sheetmetal to 1/2" solid bar and it is a trooper.
I got it after a classic cars mag reviewed a bunch and it came out top - model is 7C or something. It was rated higher due to lower noise and lighter weight - both v important i think.
As with any manufacturer - there will be quite a difference in quality throughout their range so i dont think it is right to say one brand is better than another, you can have bad models amongst "good" brands etc...
Another good thing i just remembered is it has some sort of braking action so stops v quickly when you turn it off. I find this very useful so whatever brand you go for, look for it as a feature if you can!
Good luck, whatever you get at least on that day you got to buy some new tools, and that is a good day!!

its done me well, 10 quid of the market second hand and I've had it for about 10 years. I'll do an autopsy on it when I get time to see if its worth repairing.
