Newbie alert... sorry if this has already been asked.
I've picked up a Clarke 102NG off ebay - have always avoided gasless MIG but I only need to do a few bits of welding on a go-cart my son is building so didn't want an expensive rig.
It appears I may have been stitched up as the fella said it was "as new" and had never used it. Thinking its more like he'd tried and couldn't get it working as the wire isn't feeing correctly.
The only fault I can find is its missing the locking knob assembly that holds the disc in place securing the wire spool. I'm assuming this is what's causing the problem as there's no tension on the spool and the wire just unravels itself.
Suggestions as to who might be able to supply the knob assembly - I've contacted Clarke & had no response....
Thanks for any help offered
