100L compressor from 13amp plug

I just drain my compressors tank regularly, or just before using the plasma if its been while since I used it...I don't have any filtration or dryer...

I used to use a filter dryer with mine, but after I moved house it disappeared, so I haven't bothered now. I never get any water coming out with the air, not even a faint mist.

Quick Update bought Nuair 100L Belt Driven Tech, compressor works perfectly from 13amp plug supply for me very quiet. Thanks for all comments and advice. :-)

So, today I pulled the casing off and checked that 15amp fuse, and that was good. Then I stuck me meter on the input wires, 237 volts there, so the flex is okay.

To measure voltage I had to pull that white power plug off, very easily, then when pushed it back on, with the power still on, the machine fired up as normal. So I wiggled it a bit and it could be hear making little cracking noises. One of the spade connectors within was out of place, so wasn't going on properly. A little tweaking with a screwdriver and it appears to be good, for now.

I'll give it a few hours of hot use before phoning the repair company and telling them.

Whereby they'll probably cancel the remaining warranty because I opened it up.....

Wrong thread, I think? If I had been aware that it was still under warranty, after 2 years, I would not have suggested anything other than to contact the supplier.

I have a 3hp single phase compressor, it will run from a 13a plug but always allow the tank to fill, shut off, and dump the pressure in the tank feed line ( the loud hiss you hear when the tank is full), alternatively switch if off using the push/pull knob on the compressor pressure switch! if you switch it off at the wall by mistake it will not dump the pressure in the pipe, and will blow the fuse when you restart it! AMHIK!

and if it's running at the time you pull the plug it can damage the valves in the head, as I found out when I had a power cut

A bit of an under-statement there. It will go well over 13A, at start up, even if the pump is off-load. Normally the surge is for milliseconds before it reduces as the motor gains speed. On top of the normal ‘run’ windings there may well be start windings taking power, too, until the centripetal switch isolates the start winding.

If this is the case then wouldn't a C or D rating MCB need to be fitted at the fuse box ?

A good 0.01 micron coalescing filter ....

That is mighty fine, would that reduce fish eye issues ?
