he has got the bug now he wants to do more.

thanks lads for the comments i tried him with some aluminium today.
2mm butt joint with only 40 amps started ok then turned into a plasma cutter.
the 2 passes on the left are his.
at least he tried secound run from the left he did that little bit then touched the tungsten with the filler rod made him jump not that i have never done that before

this is exactly what i am going to do we have a couple of old bike frames once the weather gets better will get started on it.
in the mean time practice for him in the shed on steel leave the aluminium a bit longer i think.

he wants to at the end of the day its down to him the more he learns now the better for him when he leaves school.

he will be building a bike in to a chopper later this year if all goes well he will be welding it him self.
and yes will put a build thread on here.
