Ok excellent. So get a seperate reguator inline after the t piece, the pressure switches on each item will be suitable? I dont remember mine having adjustment?? Just a knob you pull up to kick it in then the built in regulator let you set the output pressure. Or am I getting something wrong?
Thanks for that fast reply!!! In that case 2 together may be better as if the on/off time is less frequent that will be good. Increasing tank capacity sounds bad as dont think i really want long running times??
I guess running 2 together is more common then, as this would be much better for less...
Hi all.
After lots of house and family issues, ive finally got myself settled and getting back time and somewhere to start playing with cars and metal.
Now my question is I have a direct drive 50l compressor, which I have used for normal impsct drivers etc and works fine, and i had occasionally...
Actually a bit more searching on the net and found another link saying this product isn't over paintable so looks like it stays as it is.
Mods please feel free to delete this as I don't think its much use to anyone?!?!? Ha Ha

Now I was thinking fit back up the car today if the rain holds off for a little longer but am I meant...
Hi all
Don't post on here too often but follow the tutorials and have learnt lots from other previous posts, and so far completed all the repairs to floor and body on my motor, and now I want to start my first(proper) 'clean' metal project and I am a bit nervous as really don't want to get it...
Wow! They make it look so easy, and seems to give a nice clean cut, but as people say to get the finish neat must be hard,
I do want one, I just love tools!!!
I wouldn't be using it constantly if I did get one but my tank is 50l I think?:ashamed: I can't remember, it seems good enough to use it for most tools does struggle with a bit of sandblasting though.
Love some of that work in that link some that is proper art!! I am definatly gonna give one...
That is a good idea, didn't even know who weldmet was, and just loaded up there website and looks like a good company to know!! I have got a compressor so thats not a problem!
Just out of interest are you working on a car at the moment? What do you use yours for?
Yeah good idea....just looked on You tube and there is a video of a guy cutting a shape and a straight line in new metal, looks good, but you need a point to attach as doesn't look like you can plunge it in first (is that correct?) So doing the roof maybe is only suitable with a grinder
Yeah at the moment I'd imagine I'm only using it to cut sections out of the floor, rear firewall etc and as I mentioned in above post to cut a section out of the roof. But the main reason I was thinking of it was to get some much cleaner cuts which by the sounds of it it might not be the case...
Yeah don't get me wrong I don't have loads of cash to throw around, but I work in the building industry and I know how by having the right tools makes work achieve some much better results and finishs, as well as making it easier;)
Haven't got a air nibber maybe I should look at one of them:)...
Hi All
Been looking at Plasma Cutters and wondering is it worth me buying one?
I am working on an old beetle and having to repair some panels and fabricate some panels.
At the moment I'm just using a angle grinder with 2mm discs in, just wondered if I would get more accurate cuts especially...
Just wondered how the air nibber works? Do you drill a hole where you want to start and insert the nibber and away you go, or does it work like a router and you plunge into the metal and cut?
Nice one! Yeah man I've got quite a load of car cancer to replace, old dubs eh why do we bother!!!
To be honest it's not the saving money thing (although it helps) I just love being able to do stuff myself, and looking back what you've done (hence I love my job too!!!) I've been into...
Hi thanks for all the replys! Looks like I'm thinking along the same lines as you guys. Do allready have a air compressor too, and coo thanks allready a member on Vzi. awesome thread builds on there!
And I know the value of decent tools as I'm a chippie and swear by my tools! I love buying...
Hi all.
Just starting at complete basics now. reading through various guides on here and in magazines. But any advice on what you would recomend for essential tools to start doing body repairs to my old Beetle?
Been practicing my welds, and making a kart etc and want to get started on the...
Cheers guys, sounds like I've got the idea on how to do a weld then, am going to try and do some butt joints, and think I might make myself a welder trolley first too after reading through other peoples first projects
And Dangle KT, fully appreciate what your saying, and I'll imagine when I...
