I’ve a small fibreglass boat I use for fishing, it’s not worth much money.
Engine is out being repaired, so it could do with a lick of paint inside and out.
Can anyone reccomend what jotun product would be worth using on the hull and inside the boat?
I’m going to sand the old paint...

So bit of an update fellas
Got the car seam sealed after work today and got it masked up for stone chip tomorrow
It came out well, except a few seams which are a bit rough and the seam sealer is too thick, really too thick.... unfortunately on the chassis floor which is in full view. There...
It’s been on since sunday, I’m thinking straight on with stone chip is the best bet As it really is coated very well as it is and due to work commitments I am struggling to get more than a few hours done per day
This is the stonechip I’m using...
Thanks for all the advice everyone.
BMW dont brush it from factory, except the long seam running down the chasis where the sills mount. also at bottom of arches the seam sealer is brushed and extremely thick.
Ive noticed after two coats of jotun epoxy, it really seems to penetrate the...
hey fellas,
My car is now fully primed with jotun 87.
I will be applying seam sealer tomorrow using a 3m cartridge and a manual gun applicator.
Any tips on applying this upside down, I’ve never done this before.
My plan is to mask of the seams, apply the seam sealer and then...
Hey fellas,
I’ve a car here where seam sealer was damaged at the bottom of an arch when some welding was done on the RTA pocket.
On this particular car it’s extrenely thick and I’ve not intention of starting to remove it all. Instead I removed a segment at the bottom with a...
I didn’t think I would be using anything with isocyanates In it, but after looking at the sds sheet for the 3m sprayable seam sealer it’s notes part a does indeed contain isocyanates.
The delta plus site posted by @Andzejus1981 says this requires A and p3 protection and links full
Masks...
I was meant to be applying it this evening but read the SDS for the first time and got worried when they state you should seek medical attention immediately if it gets on yours eyes, on skin or you inhale vapour....I am a chronic asthmatic...
I have to say I’m not sure what the expected prices would be.
I’ve seen different welders, Clarke’s I think on amazon around the 250 mark.
I don’t mind paying for good gear, as experience tells me in other hobbies I have, it works out more cost effective in the long run.
Cheers
My underside is stripped but there are still some areas where I just cannot get spots of underseal/ seam sealer removed using a standard knitted wheel on angle grinder and using a die grinder with stone style attachment. I had another stone style attachment with a point but it wears away in no...
I’m sick of leaving my cars to welders over the years to have relatively simple repairs done......and waiting and waiting for them to get round to doing it.
My father breaks cars, so I have any amount chasis’s and body panels to practice on.....I very much regret not starting this 10 years ago...
Alright fella’s,
My jotun 87A has arrived.
Can the jotun be applied with a brush or roller without thinners? Can it be warmed prior to use in this instance?
The jotun thinners are expensive and postage to NI is extortionate for high risk goods.
I’m applying high build 3M...
