stuvy wanted to see some photos of what I get up to. The top one is my current build. The one below is what I built between finishing the bottom photo and starting the top one. It runs on compressed air. Below is my last build and current ride.
None taken, I thought it best to clarify. I didn't consider the implications of giving advice to someone who had no idea what they were doing. You advised from the safest position which is to be commended.
I am loving this thread. And the advice is good too. I am swinging between soft solder and silver solder.
Just for clarity, I am not an amateur. I am a time served fitter turner, 40 years in the trade now. I build my own custom motorcycles, adapting frames, fabricating and machining bespoke...
Thanks guys. Solder could be right, what was on the cock was silver, and being so old solder would figure. My only concern with soft solder is the strength. I will look a right dick if the cock falls off the church roof.

Hi guys I am looking at getting a spray gun for painting motorcycle frames and petrol tanks, nothing bigger. I have an old small compressor, an abac d908 with a 24l tank. I don't want to go bigger coz of size. I believe the cfm is between 6.5-8 but maybe one of you lot knows more. I have a...
