Been using these guys in Bath for a number of years, generally helpfully and will provide any lengths also used to have a useful bin of offcuts https://averyknight.co.uk/
My £30 Toolstation helmet gave up yesterday after around 6 years so I'm considering replacing it with a Parweld. Currently I wear £1 reading glasses with my helmet and am considering using a magnifying lens instead but I'm unable to find out if they can be fitted to the 938h. Do they work or...
I do sometimes clamp them around the rim of the box, but try to keep the trolley as narrow as possible so not on the trolley side - the Minor is on a spit and space is limited on the wall side
The box is for all my clamps - current project is restoring a Morris Minor and the panels take a lot of clamping in place to get the fit right before welding
Good point about the webs - my design is really a simplified version of the Bulldog Euroclamp https://www.bulldogsecure.com/view/bulldog-em500ss-euroclamp/5
it's pretty solid around the lock, would certainly take more than a single whack to remove it. Also once it's on the car there's very little space to attack it under the wheel arch - a Midget is pretty low to the ground. It's intended more to deter the casual thief who might think it would be...
this weeks project - a wheel clamp for my Midget. It won't stop a determined thief but will deter the casual thief. Made from scrap, the lock came from an old motorcycle disc clamp.
Another vote for Tracy tools. Problem with carbon taps is they are easy to break, especially smaller sizes, so I'd always go with HSS if you can afford them.
Mine was like that. Brushed up the worst of the dust gently, then hoovered it to get rid of the rest of the loose dust, then two coats of Leyland floor paint from Toolstation applied with a roller. Worked a treat, now when I lie on the floor to work on the car I'm not surrounded by a cloud of dust
so my first project is ..... a welding trolley ( not original I know). Made from 25 x 3 angle, with wheels from toolstation. My main purpose was a trolley to take my Clarke MIG and a 10l gas bottle safely, and to be stable. I'm pleased with the result, next step is to practice on thinner...
i've started a thread on the MMOC website for the Minor - https://www.mmoc.org.uk/MessageBoard/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=67387 . Access to forums like this and MMOC are invaluable, really useful, but also dreadful time wasters:)
Hi, I've been following the forums for a while, and following the advice on this site, recently bought a Clarke 151TE. I've wanted an excuse to buy a MIG for a while, and having recently bought a Morris Minor, which inevitably requires welding, had the perfect excuse:laughing: . Currently...
Hi, I've just bought a Clarke 151TE, and started practicing. it comes with 0.6 wire, and I've bought a roll of 0.8 SIP wire, question is, when do you change from one size to the other? looking at the settings recommended, there is no real difference in the recommended current / feed...
