Any clues to a bench top or small lathe that would be up for the jobs required?
Yes i’d luv a myford or similar but i haven’t the room and i’d never get it down the garden into my workshop anyway..
What do you guys think of this bearing in mind i need a lathe too.. ?
I really am not clued up on milling etc but keen to learn.. The only thing is i can hear him talking about morse tapers etc but to me the spindle/ chuck he’s got fitted there just looks like a drilling chuck to me...
Yes i would like a sturdy base set up for drilling accurately.. My current set up has movement both spindle wise and table wise too which is not a great combination.. I get by as is but would like a mill to handle that too..

I get that, less surface area should allow the motor to cope better etc, but, narrow it down by half and you’ve twice the work to do as well just to cover the same said area…
