Hi All,
This might be a stupid question - where can I buy stainless hoses?
I need some that are:
Hose, PTFE, Steel Braided, Assembled, 1/4 in., JIC-04 37 Degree Flare Fittings
I'm not sure if the JIC-04 are the same as brake line couplings.
You'll not find any, punch downs are the way to go. Buy a proper tool, they are only about a tenner, not those cheap ass plastic BT ones, or buy keystones that are self punchdown
TD5's also have an exciter wire, I think its a green/white wire that goes to one of the terminals on the back.
Only my old TD5 disco, the wire melted due to a short where the loom was rubbing, and I was getting a intermittent battery light, worth checking the wiring is ok before stumping for a...
Just for Reference
CAT5e is Rated for 1Gb over 100 Meters, 10Gb over 10 Meters
CAT6 is rated for 1Gb over 100 Meters
CAT7 is the same as CAT6 but has the ability to use higher frequencies for transmission (600Mhz vs 250Mhz of CAT6)
CAT8 Supports 25Gb and 40Gb but to a max of 30 meters
Those...
Hi folks,
I have a Clarke raider air 100l 3hp compressor, and I want to run a fixed air line from one end of my garage to the other.
from what I understand it’s better to take the air line from the tank, rather than from the normal air outlet. Does anywhere sell ready made connectors that...
I wish I had the space to do that. It’s pretty tight in a Landrover. I’ve build a box under the central cubby box to house all the relay gubbins as well as fuses and switch lines from the dash.
Hi folks,
quick question. I need to wire up some 12v relays for my LED light bars.
Based on the voltage drop and the amperage, I need to use 6mm2 cable (25A with a 2m run, under 3% drop).
I’m using 40A standard automotive relays. My issue is that a standard spade connector is only suitable...
Out of interest, what do you normally sell these for. I will be looking for a new vice at some time soon, and i'd rather get a decent quality refurb than a cheap chinese thing
What is it with trades a the moment, peed off that my plasterer hasn’t turned up AGAIN.
Was originally booked for 26th of October, he rang me the week before and asked if he could postpone it for a week as he had another job for a regular customer. Said yeah, no problem - it’s in the diary for...
Issue tends to be bandwidth, if you are doing intensive cad, you will get jerky scrolling and moving if its 3D. 2D should mostly be ok. Its down to how fast the display on the remote end can refresh. It will work, but just depends how well.
Erk...
Definitely don't expose it to the outside. I would probably go Teamviewer - I think there is a personal free version, and possibly consider getting a new PC for work. XP is 20 years old next year...
Before anyone suggests it, don't in any circumstance open RDP (Microsoft Remote Desktop) to the outside. It has more holes than Swiss cheese and is a major attack vector for ransomware and other nasties. VNC has similar issues, unless you can somehow VPN in (you could setup a raspberry pi, or...
