I also have one of these from machine mart and have found it good. I can't imagine how many cuts I have done over the years :) I also welded casters on the base for ease of movement.

After reading some threads here and elswhere I decided it was about time I built a bench folder.
I wanted it reasonable sized and heavy duty so I can fold more than car patches.
I just happened to have two galved lengths of 3x4 8mm angle lying around which gave me 3 lengths just over 3 foot...
I agree, some tyres are fantasticaly out of balance from new and with the weld being closer to the centre it would have less effect on balance.
I have seen a lot of these modern big alloys and they are not straight from the first time you drive on them so their balance must be out too.
This is/has been discussed on another forum and was deemed to be legal as long as they were done right.
I was reading the website from the company and they say they do 3 passes on each join. That sounds as though it would build up quite high, what is the method of this ? one up the middle...

Just got a s/h motamig 235 compact and it needs some love :hug:
The wire feed seems slow, it doesn't seem to keep up with the weld on full power? is this a setting issue or something else?
Is there a manual/wiring diagram and parts/price list available?

It is a kempomat 2501 250 amp single phase with 4m torch and gauge etc. Used and working.
I do cars rarely now, Landrover chassis has no need for 25amp :welder:
My last job was a stage set using 3mm upto 5mm which seems common to me now. I hope to go more...
