I'd say it works. I'm a mot tester and had a couple of cars that would not pass the smoke test no matter what else was done, ie service, fuel cleaner, Italian tune up etc.
Customers had them carbon cleaned and passed well within the limits. so i'd say not a coincidence and would recommend it.
I would go and speak to the manager, explain the situation ie they charged it and its leaking. Ask if they can take the gas out, you fix it and if they can recharge it. You may find that he will be fine with it and not charge. If he wants to charge you tell him your not happy as in theory they...
That's kinda what I was going to use it for,
Protecting glass /car interior but after reading they're not very good maybe I'll just keep it for putting out fires.
Hope this will help someone.
Homebase are selling fire blankets for £1.20 they're on clearance but my local store had 10+. They're 1.2x1.8m.
Thought they would come in handy for use as a welding blanket ect.

You need a special adapter for the Fords. The threads are the same size but the thread doesn't start at the edge of the hole so a longer adapter is needed.
Do a search for a zetec compression tester.

If it's the same set-up as the earlier polo's the adjuster is a wedge rather than a screw type. You can get to it through a wheel bolt hole, the adjuster is towards the front of the car around the 10 o clock/ 2 o clock position. there should be a small hole on the bottom of it with a spring...
I was wondering if you could add some gelatine or other thickening agent to mix in order to create a spreadable paste for larger areas, and things like my landrover chassis...
Try wall paper paste it makes it a gel and as its a glue it sticks well.
The middle strengthener is spot welded to the outer sill on the horizontal bit and then the outer sill is spot welded to the inner sill on the vertical lip.
If you look at the second picture you posted that is how they are joined. I assume your going to plug weld the new sill on so drill holes...
They cant fail what they cant see and have no right to tell you to leave it uncovered.
As it is it should fail(I'd fail it) as it is not a continuous weld with no gaps. If you re-welded the holes and put a thin layer of filler over the top and then painted it they would have to pass it(they...
As you have one off get a socket with the same diameter as the locating holes. Using the one you have have as a guide mark the socket where the holes are grind it down to remove the excess, leaving pins to fit. Then just use it as you would the proper key. If the locking nut is worn I'd...
From a mot point of view it would probably pass, from what I can tell its not within 30cm of any suspension or seatbelt mount and won't affect steering or braking so we would have to pass it (wouldn't want to but no choice).

(mot tester)
Very similar setup to what we have. On ours we have steel pipe with reducers to 1/4 straight on to filter and oiler set up with quick release pcl connections. Our system runs higher psi but as I said mine will undo wheel nuts from about 50psi.
Do you have any other air guns you could try on...
Did you get the gun new? if so I'd say return it. If it was second hand it may need a tune up(kit available).
I have the same gun and it runs in the same conditions ie 8mm hose 1/4 pcl ends and it will undo wheel nuts from 50psi up. It normally runs around 120-150 psi and at that pressure it...
