That's the thing, I don't want to condemn and scrap a motor without testing it myself despite what someone else has said about it. My nephew is a refrigeration engineer so I'll ask if he has a megger that I can borrow, you can also buy cheap one's for £30 which would do the job and would be...
Hi
I bought a SE15C150 on Friday, the seller said it needed a new motor after it was checked out by a sparky. I've taken the motor apart and it's very clean inside, I've measured the resistance of the coils - 2.3, 0.8 and 3.1 ohms, the two smaller value's added together should give the...
Surely this cannot be genuine, it must be a scam for £130?

A won the bidding on eBay for the SE15C150, it needs a new motor - £106

Thanks pedrobedro, I cannot find the SE15C150 on the Machine Mart website so I think that's also been replaced. If I remember correctly I'm sure I recall reading somewhere that they changed to a new model with the two cylinders in a vee.
Hello
I've been looking for a used 16C but then I see a 15C for sale so I'm not sure now if there's any difference?
I've also seen them advertised as being 1PH and 3PH, so how do you know which is which as the model number doesn't indicate the voltage?
Thanks
I have searched but it's never easy finding a small reel of decent quality wire 0.8/0.9 flux cored wire, I didn't want to spend more than £20.
I was going to order 0.9kg Sip E71T-GS 0.8mm at CPC for £18.79 delivered but then I saw some GYS toparc 0.9mm 0.9kg on Amazon for £13.80.
It's not for...
Dinitrol 447 is really good stuff and adheres superbly to smooth painted surfaces, I'm pleased I paid that little bit extra as it's definately worth it.
If you're talking about a surface that you have already ground down and it's going to be exposed to the weather I would tape some polythene over with some duct tape as you're only going to get a little surface rust which can be removed in a few minutes with a flap disc or sanding disc etc...
Doesn't have to be a belt drive if you can put up with noiser direct drive compressors, I bought a used direct drive 14cfm 3hp one about 5 years ago and it works well.
For a belt driven compressor it's going to cost more or it's going to be older, I would buy one but for those reasons I...
I think it's only when you actually switch to the tungsten carbide nozzles yourself that you actually appreciate how much better they are in being able to have a nozzle which maintains its size for much longer which is so very important when you haven't got a massive amount of air to use them...
I wish it was that simple, I've already shimmed it to adjust the height and adjusted it laterally with the screws on the tailstock. Had it set up perfectly then you come to use it again with the piece you're machining sticking further out only to find when you slide the tailstock up that it's...
I always keep the mains cables from products that have stopped working, plugs aswell if they can be used again.
Screws, bolts and washers if they're in good condition, pieces of wood.
You may not use the wall plugs supplied for a product but I don't throw them away as they could be used...
I would disagree with Julian and recommend buying a 2.5mm tip to use with the pressure pot like you have already mentioned.
You don't have that much air with a 3hp compressor and you'll need to supply a lot more even if a ceramic tip was to wear to just 4mm which doesn't take long at all.
