My immersion heater lives in a cupboard in the kitchen, controlled by one of those pins-in-a-wheel timer switches, also in the cupboard. My problem is that sometimes I override the timer for an extra bit of hot water and then (advancing age!) forget to switch it off again.
Question - will I be breaking any regs by connecting a neon indicator light across the output from the timer and bringing it out to somewhere I can see it and so remind myself to switch off?
I've recycled a neon from an old hob which has leads attached so I guess it's up to the job?
THanks for any advice.
