A friend is in a care home. They have found he is a lot more responsive when he is allowed to recall happier days growing up.

At Primary school they had school holiday clubs. Where you could bring toys in, and make bug pay areas.

He was saying he recall the posh kids bring in in Lego kits we average people could only dream about.
Hence the kit above.

Got 76 bales put away just 120ish more to do but we're forecast rain tomorrow night

I've spent the afternoon working on my neighbor's Panther Kallista 1.6

Essentially the carburetors guy after having rebuilt the Weber told us to remove the fuel tank for cleaning and derusting.
It's been harder than I've initially thought.
Thigh space, no room to fit tool but eventually managed to get it out.
Floor jack I've bought last year has been great for the job.
Lifted the car no problems and most importantly at an enough distance from the floor making things a lot easier.
I can't even imagine how much time and struggle it would have saved me while working on both my cars.
I didn't have one and now I've two, at the time I've had to replace the clutch etc I've used the OEM scissor jack.
I hope I'll never have to do that again.
Anyways at the end of the day the neighbor gave me 15 litres of gasoline (fresh and clean)

You need a bale sledge, the collect them in groups of 8. Then a flat 8 on a tele handler…..took the grandson home this morning, sharp as he wanted to help his other grandad with his small bales. He does about 10 acres every year….then leaves the round to son in law and the farm hand.

Ill be doing the same tomorrow…..

I remember visiting my grandfather when I was a kid and he had this big, comedy bandage on his arm. Turned out he was doing something at the tail end of the baler (knotters??) with the tractor ticking over, but PTO driving, and the needles came up and just nicked his arm - he was bl00dy lucky they didn't break it!

The garage by my school used to sell those, always liked the look of them.

Unfortunately I think a sledge would be too bigger train, my route planning is not the best but getting better so I think I would probably spend more time unhooking it and manoeuvring into position
Next year I should have the front loader set up to collect bales unless I forget...

The guy who supplies hay to the stables nearly lost his arm a couple of years ago, a common jam up so he jumps off the tractor leaving the PTO running "I've done this countless times before" this time it bit him, he was off work for a few months and still has the nasty scars as proof.

I looked them up and learnt something - I always thought they were still Vauxhall components - but yes, the Kallista was Ford bits.

And that Ssang Yong made them for a time too!
