I have a very long road ahead of me on this one! It's a 1969 VW Karmann Ghia which spent the early part of it's life in America
As it was many many years ago in the states - I traced the history on this one:
Then it was imported in 1991 by custom car legend Andy Saunders, changed hands after a while before it became too much of a project and ended up in a garden for a decade.
This was dragging out day about 3 years back - note that a barrier had to be dismantled and that a spade was a necessary part of the removal:
I tucked it up in a lockup for a few years:
Whilst I was sorting this:
Got a new home for it now:
This thing is SERIOUSLY rusty and has crash damage (dating right back to the girl that originally owned it!) to one side and front. Most of what looks good is a combination of screwed on ali, fibreglass, filler etc.
As I said, it's a long road!
