I opened a cupboard a few weeks ago and a mouse was sitting on a shelf looking at me!
It took off and I saw it run across the carpet in the living room, I put two traps down with peanut butter.
I got nine of the little bu993rs that had been nesting in my TVR a few years back... they'd chewed the textile car covers that were in the boot to ribbons.
When I first opened the boot and spotted them, they all ran for cover. One ducked under an old Britool socket set box that houses a few emergency tools at the bottom of the boot. I could see its tail sticking out, so I rehearsed lifting the box out of the way with one hand and grabbing the mouse with the other.
3...2...1...go! Grabbed the toolbox and lifted it... the lid popped open and all the tools fell out, executing the mouse.
Set a trap in the cabin and one in the boot and over the next few days nobbled the parents, siblings, lodger and a visiting uncle mouse from Cheeshire
Can't get any more cloth to repair the car covers as the Mansfield textile mill it came from closed a few years back
