Lidl factor in that many won't bother or be able to comply with their terms. I bought a foot pump, thinking that'll never last 3 years. So when it failed after 6 months I took it back to the store with the receipt, like one does. No, no, I was instructed to email some address, so I did:
Good afternoon,
I purchased this pump last year on 13/03/2017. It came with a 3 year warranty.
The frame has come apart in normal use and it is not repairable.
Please advise me how I can get a refund.
Regards

Only a 30 amp, presumably because of the pathetic 13A plug, while everyone else gets the 40 amp with a 16A plug... Worth it, 9mm cut in steel vs the 40A at 12mm? I'm in a quandary now
Realistically, would it do 10 / 12mm but slowly?

Here in Italy someone achieved to cut through 15mm mild steel plate (severance cut)Any idea what thickness it will cut satisfactorily, also are the consumables easily obtainable. I wondered about one for the price, but my son is planning to get one dependant on the answers here.
Here in Italy Lidl soldWonder if they actually make 2 different versions or if its just a jumper on the inside that rescales the current pot, I notice that both pics are the same original but the scale and product code photo shopped on, I'd be happy to buy a 16A plug if a little setting change was all that was needed to get 40A
For £80, I'd suggest that anyone who doesn't have a plasma (and does have a compressor) should go get one!
We've talked on here many a time about taking a risk with ebay specials but at that price (and with the whiff of a 3 year warranty) it would be hard to say no.
You could fit a trafimet s45 on itI will be in tomorrow and buy one if I can, and I already have a Lincoln pro cut 25, with pilot arc,
The reason is the consumables, they are really expensive and difficult to source,
I was considering fitting a new torch from eBay with cheaper consumables, but it will cost about £80, so if I buy the Lidl one it’s the same cost,
And semi retire the Lincoln, using it only when the pilot arc is useful.

To adapt the original hose package to the s45 you can ask to your local machinist if he can make a brass coupling to adapt it
S45 torches are pilot arc and the consumables are cheap and easy to find
You can also get a Chinese copy
