Pretty much. Also easy to engage the brake yourself.Ok, thanks, I knew what was in ther - ie the break band, just not what would make it deploy - if you like.
So the saw kicks, your wrist twists back and triggers the break?
Ok as long as you're still holding onto the thing I guess, which in all fairness you should be.
Hate seeing people walking around with the chain spinning.
Soon as I've finished a cut the brake goes on.
Only close calls I've had with saws were due to getting snagged in undergrowth as I stepped away.
If I'd put the brake on before stepping back I'd have saved a few quid on new leggins
