The garage says they are waiting for a brake shoe alignment tool from Vauxhall. That sounds expensive. I am working on my other even older corsa and have changed the shoes and drums but I never used or read any guides or references to anything about using an alignment tool.
I can’t find much information except this sentence “This is the tool that is required when replacing front and rear brake shoes on all cars from 1945 to 1965. It ensures that the brake shoes are fitted concentrically ...”
