Another trip tomorrow to change it 
Plenty of welders left in E17. I thought I'd plug it in to see if it went bang, no time to try it out though. Well, it turned on, nothing went pop, twiddled the knob; Perfect!. But will it turn off again?
Is there a run on timer or similar to keep the fan running after it's switched off? I think my parweld does that. (Beaten to it by Mike^)Plenty of welders left in E17. Oh if their points---- they wont be caps ----they'll be condensers.
Just a thought, does the switch turn off the welding part, but leave the fan connected by design so you can leave it to cool?Nope.
It's now nearly 6 hours after I unplugged it and the switch still doesn't work
The switch is dead; it's an ex-switch, it's shuffled off this mortal coil. The bloomin' contacts seem to have welded themselves together 
) but I don't have any gas for my MIG and I'm a sucker for punishment. I'll post some horror pictures when I eventually finish it. Sometime next month at the rate I'm going

I should have read your previous post Seadog, glad you've got it sorted. Can't really go wrong at that money & a 3 year guarantee.
No doubt it could be. I then need to go out and buy myself a TIG torch and some sort of system to deliver the gas, oh, and buy the gas too...
That's another toy for the future
