I based my selection as to what's under the heading "pliers" on primetools websiteSorry to invoke the PC thing but I feel it's time to say something on behalf of true indigenous pliers, who are rather offended by the inclusion of all those snips, moles, grips, callipers, screwdrivers and even strippers in this thread.
Please have a care for their sensibilities and refrain from posting pictures of anything but the true plier in future.....![]()

Who can forget the great tong stand off of '78 - ended with a pincer movement if my memory is correctMaybe so surely none of us would want to return to the bad old days of the Tongs and Tweezer wars which were started by a similar misconception....

"great tong stand off of '78" Nahh most everything comes from China now
Yes mate, I like the facom set but if I fancy splurging some company cash I may get a set like these
https://uk.rs-online.com/mobile/p/crimp-tools/0464482/
as my ones aren't great at the smaller crimps (I've been doing a bit using cat5 cable as 485 comms cable recently and using the white bootlace crimps the facom ones leave them a bit loose)
I've been using these for panel building for years, only problem is they won't do 0.25 & 0.34 ferrules, but got a cheap pair to do those.
Seadog. Please explain how to operate them.
