buy the stuff with the rope enbedded in it wil last for years
and buying the good stuff you dont need any thing under it

Buy good quality felt and you don't need anything under it, where is it going to breathe to if it's sealed above it ? We did next door's shed with the B&Q green roofing felt about 8 years ago now and it still looks like new. Don't use the stuff for under roof tiles as it is not UV stable and breaks up after a couple of years.

the good quality felt for houses not sheds one of them has a rope type/ nylon material in it to stop it ripping used it on my old shed when i built it was on it for 13 years before we sold up i think its still on it now prob cost £30 or 40 for a roll but worth it

i just tin sheeted mine box profile stuff seconds and made the ends, ridge tiles, out of the same sheets

Slim, you can use rubber or the plastics of various types and you get then cut to size if you like, or you get a length and plastic weld them together.
You can get loose laid which is just that, and you screw an edging strip to it which holds it down and stops wind getting under it, you can bond it down with petroleum based glue, or you can use a dedicated glue which is expensive, most people use Unibond or similar.

would definitely be pointless using breather membrane then putting unbreathable felt on top. Also the breather membrane is not adhesive. I've used all types of flat roof and when I do mine I will be using the firestone one ply rubber roofing. Its really easy to install. Works out cheaper than 3 ply torch on felt, takes a quarter of the time and lasts forever. Why would anyone use anything else? The only other I'd consider from a performance point would be fibreglass and resin but I don't personally think it looks as neat as the firestone rubber and is a bit more fiddly, especially if you haven't done it before. Still not as fiddly as torch on though!

I'm sorry but as far as I understand it you don't generally use petroleum glue with edpm. It should either be solvent or water based - we had our extension done about 6 months ago.
Edit - I don't know anyone that would use uni bond either (presuming you mean standard uni bond pva rather than a proprietary uniting edpm adhesive?)

It's true hard work never killed anyone, but why take a chance?
