Had a lad turn up at the range with a .303 going on and on about this awesome custom load he'd made. After making sure everyone in the surrounding villages knew all about this super duper round, and ensuring there was a crowd gathered and everything was laid out just so, he chambers one and pulls the trigger. There was a tiny pop and the round near enough fell on his shoe as it dribbled out of the muzzle. He'd forgotten to put powder into a batch and primers don't provide that much firepower

.Last Tuesday I had to repair something for a friend that required some tig welding. As yet I don't have the tig set up permanently so I dug it out & set it up, chaining the argon bottle beside my mig bottle.
Did the welding but was called away to fix something else.
Roll on to Saturday & I had another repair job for a friend requiring some tig welding. Rather handily the tig was still set up but when I went to turn on the gas I discovered it was already on. It was that moment when I remembered that I didn't turn the gas off on Tuesday, just the welder!
Checked the bottle gauge & it's barely showing any pressure so I have a leak somewhere. I had enough to do the repair but I will need to get a refill soon. I am normally quite good at checking that everything is shut off before locking up but it has been an abnormally busy week with too many distractions.
The worst thing was the repair was on a £2 part for a saw, only available online but he needed the saw on Wednesday.
