no not milliput, you would have to google it, as cant remember name, its two part , basically resin with metal filler,specifically designed for repairing cracked engine blocks.

It's nice stuff, I had it on the brake lever of my jump bike to make it more comfortable. Worth noting it has a shelf life of about 6 months (From memory) and after that it doesn't really work (It doesn't stick to anything and isn't very pliable). I think it keeps up to 18 months if you keep it in the fridge.

I used it years ago on a WW Polo. The 1100cc engine.

The carb sat on a composite block before the inlet manifold.

The block had warped to fit the manifold. But when we had to replace the manifold, it got cracked.
Oddly after a new exhaust was fitted. odd that.

When we tried to get the joints to seal, it was not happening. A smear of Millipet onto the block, nip up until set.

A nice tidy up, new gasket and blue hylomer ad we were good to go.

Well until my friends son stuffed it into a ditch.

Indeed it does - not too expensive and available either online or at a 'big shed' store near you .

Does anyone know what the 'lab' bottles with the canted spouts on the bench at 2:25 in the video are 'properly' called?

Seem like the perfect thing for using with small amounts of cutting fluid. I've had a poke around Google under lab equipment etc but can't find these.

If so, they're wash bottles as Seadog said. Quite handy, I've got one full of acetone for decreasing purposes.

I've had some in the fridge for over 2 years; it's still good, I used some a couple of months ago to sort a car key with a perished rubber coating.
