Recommend me a hot glue gun

Know what never had one,come to think of it i can't even remember when i last used one
But had a few things nothing that serious to stick together over the weekend,as you do.
So,what wattage,seen some as low as 5 watts up to 150W?
Cord or cordless?
What about the glue itself is it mainly all general purpose?
Seen 100's listed on evilbay for under a tenner so looking at spending around that mark

Have a Dremel one seems ok
Also have a Bosch one not a patch on the other

I have the Dremel one too, bought when it was on special at B&Q a few years back. It has some nice features link a spring release stand, silicon nozzle cover and comes with a spare nozzle

Had a few and now have the dremel one as well. It's comfortable - that's important as much as the power to me.

A friend who does a lot of crafty ******** bought a cordless one and it's rubbish, it's like a cordless kettle rather than a cordless drill if you see what I mean

I have a good one,Cant remember the name, Bought brand new at a boot sale. Really good quality and "cordless" BUT its gas powered, just refill it with a can of lighter gas, Works brilliantly and comes with a variety of nozzle ends,

I have a parkside one (lidl)
Cost me a tenner.
Cordless/corded. Single heat.
Three nozzles.
Takes screwfix glue sticks (£5 for 50 @ 4")
Sticks stuff together - expanded poly, ply, foamboard, aluminium, most craft materials (old pop bottles, perspex, etc.)

Doesnt stick led light strips very well - the heat melts the glue just enough to loosen it.

I have an old Bostik one in the shed where you just push the stick through with your thumb on the end not with a trigger and it has worked for years no problem. The choice of sticks is the cause of problems sometimes not the actual gun. If you are sticking something that generates heat the sticks need to be rated for the temperature but really I would use epoxy for something like that.

I didnt know you could get different sticks for them. Do you know what's available

I've seen hard and soft (ooer missus) and different colours along with the universal ones sold in bulk packs and different setting rates as well. Paintless dent removal uses a special stick and needs a HOT gun to apply.

I have a el chepo glue gun it works ok don't always stick properly maybe due to me trying to stick dirty greay car parts.

My mate ex carpet fitter has a big boy glue gun he used to stick gripper rod to hard concrete floors now that works a treat.

I have multi purpose sticks and wood sticks

Been there done that

The hot glue stuck to everything apart from two things

The roof of a shipping container and led strip lights

Which is an issue when you are trying to stick up some LED lights in a container
