What training are you doing in 2017?

Most years I try and do a course or training that is hobby related rather than work. Currently thinking of doing an introduction to panel beating and spray painting at night college, mainly for the spray painting part. One other option is a bricklaying night course. Anyone else got any training planned for 2017?

Yep, renewing my ACS gas certificates. Planning on getting back into gas work so not really hobby related!

I plan to go and do my B+E trailer license. Been towing for years but I really should get it done to keep on the right side of the law. It's the best part of 600 quid round this way to do it, but it'll be worth it. Will have to work a couple of days overtime to pay for it though.

Just bought myself a couple of VHDL books and a Xilinxs Artix7 FPGA board to have a play around with.

Although currently dog less, that is so relaxing and satisfying train a lab to a good level,hand and whistle,enjoy.personaly train myself to work less and earn more would be an improvement!

Fire extinguisher servicing, or. I don't care if you have done it that way for 10000 years. You are doing it wrong, you will do it this way.

But with luck I should get on the lighting conductor course.

I've looked at night courses but have found them quite expensive for anything I consider worth doing. When I looked at the welding courses on offer from our local college it was about £800 for a 24 week evening course. If you do something naff like cooking or cross stitch it was much less, or if you're on benefits it's free. Typical!

I'm refreshing my coxswain ticket, survival and rigging this year and no doubt enduring several in house death by PowerPoint 'essential' courses.

I struggle to do courses outside work due to 3 shift working probably get a few at work, they're on about an f-gas course, something to do with air-con? In the new year.

I funded it myself and I'll be funding the renewal so it can be sort of seen as a hobby.

train driver - an overtime shift is £250 (before tax etc)
