Hello,
You may have seen that Yahoo! announced that a copy of certain user account information was stolen from its company’s network in August 2013.
Yahoo! is the provider of some of BT’s customers email accounts and as your BT email account is provided by Yahoo! we believe your email account may have been affected.
As a precautionary measure we strongly recommend that you reset your password and security question, especially if you haven’t updated it since August 2013. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

Don't click suspicious links
If you think you've been sent a 'phishing' or scam email that's been made to look like it's from BT, don't click any of the links - especially if they ask you to check or confirm your account details. If you want to do that, it's safer to type bt.com/mybt into your browser so you know you're going to the right place and you can also forward the email to our dedicated mailbox - phishing@bt.com - and delete the email.
To find out more about how you can protect yourself against scam emails, go to bt.com/phishing
