LED batten lights for workshop and advice ?

Evening all I am looking at replacing my fluorescent lights with LED batten type lights, does anyone have any experience of them ?
I currently have 4 double gang 5ft tubes of 58W each so I would like something comparable or a touch brighter. Any help appreciated

I've got four led six foot singles in existing fluorescent fittings. Straight replacement and supplied with cartridge "fuses" to replace the existing starters. Plenty of light and instant switch on.

I replaced a couple of strips with plug in LED replacements. Went for absolutely the cheapest available on eBay. That was a few years ago, they're still fine.

It's the lumens you want and make a note of the colour temperature. The light is harsh enough so I always go for a "warm" temp. They will need to be well diffused otherwise you get variability of light spread and hard shadows. But yeah, they're great for a workshop.

I'm looking into this aswell as I fancy replacing two lights in the garage which leave shadows everywhere with 6 4ft led twin batten lights, I was looking at the ones screw fix have on offer.

Not installed them yet. It's all happening over Christmas.

The SF ones have gone up in price drastically from their first offering, we tried them as we had twin tube lamps on the walls at 2mtrs high, we were so pleased we then went for 14 LED Hut hi bays + 30 I think 5Ft tubes from led hut for other WS, all over 12 months no problems we are into profit on running cost
Also had some Liddle ones sealed fittings some one else here bought them the stores total stock I think
Colour temp is important with the tubes

I bought these ones for the steel container I built my plasma table in, they are bright in there. Hard to say if they are definitely better than the 5ft twin tube fluorescent ones I have in the workshop but they certainly seem to be.
When the tubes go in the workshop ones I will just be replacing them with the LED ones.

I concur, just done the same in my garage having had a couple of flouro tubes give up the ghost. Plenty of light, instant on, simple to fit, use less of the blue powder what's not to like about them. Simples.
