Manual impact screwdriver bits

I have an old talco impact driver, the one you hit with a hammer, not one of these new battery powered thingys. I only have the usual bits for it. lately I have needed long series bits in flat head, Philips head, and now torx. I can't seem to find anything other than the basic short series ones.
Does anyone know where or if these are even available?
They are 8mm or 5/16" shank.

if you used a 8mmm cap head driver the opposite way so the allen head went into the impact driver then used a 3/8 male male adapter you could then use standard 3/8 drive bits in the tool

I see what you mean but i cant find any 3/8" impact bits either. mostly 1/4"

any 3/8 drive socket drive bits will fit then

My old Talco impact wrench is 37 years old and is 1/2 Square drive with a removable socket which accepts the 5/16 hex impact bits.

I think what the OP requires is a long shank series hex bits to insert into the socket. I am fortunate in that over the years I obtained some Snap-On, Beta and Facom long series 1/2 Sq/dr Pozi and flat screwdriver tips, an 1/2sq/dr to 3/8sq/dr impact adaptor and a set of 3/8 sq/dr long series Metric Hex bits, but mine are all only about 2" long.

I actually saw some 3" long series 5/16 insert hex impact bits on sale recently in packs of large, medium and small flat bits #2 Pozi, #3 Poz and 4mm, 5mm, 6mm & 8mm hex bits but I cannot remember whether it was Cork, Limerick, Eindhoven Utrecht or Delft I saw them in.

Not particularly helpful as such but long 8mm/5/16" impact driver bits certainly do exist as I was looking at some very recently. I'm not sure if there are Torx ones available too but I suggest that if you look hard enough you'll find what you want.

Had to work out how long I'd had mine, bought it in 1977 to work on Jap bikes so 39 years old and still in my toolbox

I've got this set of std Hex and 75mm long, 4mm thru' 12mm Hex tips purchased from Machinemart.

They are all on 10mm hex shanks. This set came complete with a 1/2sq/dr retainer socket, I have also acquired a separate 3/8 sq/dr retainer socket, and of course the tips can also be used in a 10mm 1/4 sq/dr socket.

Somewhere about I also have a Teng or Lazer brand of std & long tamperproof Torx, which are also on 10mm hex shanks and I purchased for work on parks and play equipment for the council.

Yes, I have used them in both my strike with a hammer impact driver and my Ryobi 18 volt cordless 225ft/lb Impact driver.

I have also seen an interchangeable long series 10mm hex shank screwdriver set on sale online somewhere.
