Screw and glue them and they will be good enough. Just google composite joists and see what they are using in houses these days and you will not worry any more.
might as well buy the right stuff, it's cheap enough not to make a massive difference
you'll lose most of what you save buying glue and screws to fix them together
are the walls either side breeze block ? and the box room (with the door close to the fuse box) - is that the toilet ? - does it have solid walls?
breeze blocks around the front of the building makes me think it's breeze block for the first 6ft or so and then tin or composit sheets above?
and do you own it or rent it ?
lots of options for you, all really depends how the rest of the building is built
covering the span is the easy bit, holding up the sides is a bit more tricky if the walls to the sides aren't solid
if you build it ontop of those breeze blocks at the front, then you could extend it back over the toilet and past it.... to just behind the toilet
(you;ll have a hard tome stoping/ending it ontop of the toilet)
if you go with 9x2, I'd screw/glue two of those together, flat against the front wall, ontop of the breeze blocks
for the back end, (just behind the toilet) I'd screw 4 of them together to make a beam, run that side to side and used 4x screwed at the walls as uprights to hold the ends of that beam up
that's assuming the toilet isn;t solid walls, and you don't need any extra higher above that workbench behding the wood wall ?

Honestly couldn't tell you, they are something in the region of 10 to 15 foot long 3" wide by 9" deep (all guessed until tomorrow)
