Hey Guys,

Just thought that you might like to take a look at our new look website.

Only thing which isn't fully operational is the dealer network locator and hopefully this will be up and working within the coming week!

100 meters is the longest I have seen it being used on.

Hi Mate,

LorchNet is the communication software the the Lorch digital power-sources operate on........on the T Series for example, there is a plug on the back of the set which doubles as the communication outlet for the Water-Cooler (If used) or when used in conjunction with our Automation, it enables the controller to control the power-source, Cold wire feeder and the Turntable......

Software updates and the Up/Down torch also use the LorchNet software.

The TipTronic function is a Job Store/Memory function, where the machine has 100 blank spaces for you to save your own personal favourite settings.

I take it that if software updates are possible, through the LorchNet interface, that on-line diagnostics are too?

All the other stuff, you just said, has already blown me away... What a super bit of kit & the organisation behind it!

Yeah the machines are self diagnosing........they all operate on error codes which correspond to whatever service issue has occoured.

All of the water-cooled machines have flow switches and the machine monitors the flow rate, if there is a fall in the flow rate to a dangerously low level for a given period of time the machine will stop as not to damage the torch.

The other machines such as the Saprom and V Series for example, also measure the inside operating tempertures and operating voltages and will flag up warnings if any errors should happen.

Even Wyn's small H150 have ways of letting you know whats broken, so we know without even taking the side panels off what part needs replacing.

The T series a has generated some interest in this neck of the woods, Its now at my mates Steve, a very timed served ex nuclear welder, and he was extremely impressed, He's got a coding tomorrow, and is going to use that machine!!!.....The guy testing the coding is ex Fornuis, and now tests for living, possibility you know him but name escapes me......he is also wishing to give the machine a once over, As I said iv also got to do a bit of training with it, how many do I need to sell to get one free then.....

I am not sure who the guy is who is testing the coding.........I do know in the 4 and half years since I left, there has been a really high turnover of staff, so he may not of been there while I was there.

How you finding it, now you had some idea of what button does what?? lol

I thought I had all the buttons sused until I was showing Steve, always worse when you put on the spot!! although our collective powers manged to get it back on track again.....but we still cant get over the power its got for such a small machine....

Then we were feck'in about trying to get his Fornuis set to run Inconel 625 for his second coding and that confused us even more.....

No didn't forget you mate, we had a open day yesterday for some of our distributors to launch some new products and also to officially open our new unit, so the last few weeks have been a bit mad with getting it all organised.

How far away are you guys from Kilmarnock? I have a dealer there. It would be them who would ultimately supply the kit (if any got sold), so I would need to involve them on any pricing. I can give list prices, but as we don't sell direct, the distributor would need to discuss discount terms.

I will get your trial HT 220 sent up next week and inside I will include some of the Special offer flyers, which have all of the list prices shown. Atleast then Terry can talk, ball park figures.

emmmm tomorrow, The guys not strict and he'll set the machine up for him... which is lucky It looked OK but I wasn't convinced there was not some dilution with the perant... but there be able to tweak that so he can get the boxes ticked......cheers anyway

Inconel looks cack anyway when Migging it. Its probably best to run it on the Steel setting......there is a Specific synergic line for Inconel but its not standard, you have to get it installed as an add on

That's a passport job Matt! West coast. Good for a game of golf, as Troon's just doon the road. 70 odd miles from us, hour and a half by car, not so bad. Shouldn't stop the distributor if there's a bite!

yep I think he was talking of getting the add on hes got nearly 5K of wire to do so might be worth it, he's using 97.5% ar and Co2, (I think)...... Hes involved with doing some valve blanks for a firm in Manchester, cant see its viable to send em down here myself, but stranger things happen....

Matt, email basically spells out the situ from discussions I had with this group of lads, organisation they work for appear to be on the market in the near future for new plant, hence me training them up. I'll pass on what info you supply me with to them, give them summit to chew on, then tis up to them get in touch with scottish distributor.

I'll be talking to a west lothian hospital real soon re; welder training, while I spoke to their chief engineer, they are looking into new plant too, maybe an idea to chuck in a few brochures, I'm happy to pass them around on my travels.
