I bought a car a year back and it came with some damage on the hood and windshield , it looks like very small tiny paint dots but on further investigation i found it to be embedded into the paint and windshield. There is no sign of any metal or rust , Polishing doesn't take it away but wax hide's the damage. I did clay it but it wont come off I've also clean the windshield with a blade however with no success , the previous owner did work for a construction company but he is off no help ,Car is bmw 320i bmw Black

I could understand paint getting into the bodywork but can't see how it would get into the glass of the windscreen, makes me think it is more like hot particles of something.

Grinding sparks burn to glass just like they do to paint, probably even more permanent. I had to put a new screen in my old Mini after I repaired the scuttle and didn't mask the glass. All it takes is some damp paper. If the OP bought the car with the damage I don't see what the previous owner has to do with it. If you were parked near someone cutting girders it would be a bit annoying to come back to.
I can concur with grinding sparks getting embedded in the glass. Have issue on one of our vehicles which had the tailgate in the line of fire of some grinding on site a couple of years ago. Mostly it manifests itself as tiny flecks in the factory tint, but closer inspection shows it is actually tiny rusting metal flecks embedded a few thou in to the surface of the glass.

Don't park anything near the old boys in the workshop here, we call it peppering! And trust me, most if not all tractors/forklifts etc here have peppered windscreens from grinders! Once the hot sparks land on the screen they melt into the top layer of the screen, never to be removed ever again, worst still, some go rusty! Add some overspray and some sand scratches and you will be some where close to what they call a windscreen, protect you from the wind it may, see thought it.....well.....

Welcome to the forum - seems like an odd first post on a welding forum, but never mind. 
Can you feel the defects when you run your hand over the paintwork or screen? If so, it's something in the paint - have you tried something like Iron-X, if that product is available in your country?
Can we assume the defects are too small to photograph successfully?

Thanks for the response guys , the tiny dots on the windscreen is so small and is only visible if you look carefully , however on the paint its like hundreds of small little white dots but after looking very carefully its embedded , there is no sign of any metal or rush the previous owner works for construction company , the rest of the car paint is in very good condition.

True, that's why I said I thought it was hot particles and that's from experience of wishing I had covered my cars side window a few years back before the grinding bits ruined it
Strange how he is seeing no rust marks though in the paint, usually they go fairly fast if grinding debris.

new screen and a repaint is what you need ....the amount of restoration photos you see on the internet where theyre wrecking the glass makes me sad
I have cant find any sign of rust , all i know is that this must be some grinder damage , when i was around 10 years old my dad had a bmw E30 and did alot of work with steal always making new stuff like trailers and many other things , his bmw was parking in the yard when he saw his windscreen had gotten damaged his was so ****** off with himself . cant ask him because his no more with me 13 years later im having this problem so then i ended up here
Hot particles of what ? Any idea? Have a look at the pictures

To clarify because I suspect some have not understood what I said:
I can not see paint entering below the surface of the windscreen and being impossible to remove, my family was in the car trade for many years and I have never not been able to remove paint contamination on car glasswork.
Hence I said it can't be paint that's penetrated the windscreen (if that's what's happened) and must be the result of something hot similar to for example grinder sparks.
It looks like paint but its embedded so it has to be some sort of grinder sparks funny thing no rust , if polished the paint work and windscreen is smooth but without Polish its slightly rough

Perhaps the polish/wax is coating the area and removing the edge, by the sounds of it it is not proud of the surface by much and a good polish will do that.
Also I note your location, I may be wrong but imagine it's bit different to the wet atmosphere of the UK, may be the reason there is no rust being evident.
