Wago all the time now, given up with terminal strips just get the last wire in tighten it up and the wafer thin brass on the back cracks, but why is it always the last one to fit that has to go?

He wants a SELECTION PACK, by which I understand a mixed bag of various cable sizes (square millimetre) and various diameter holes (5, 6, 8, 10mm).

Packs of a single size with a single hole diameter are easy to find.

What he wants is surprisingly difficult to locate.

A get-you-out-of-trouble fix for a terminal that does not fit is to strip off extra insulation and double back some or all of the conductors. A slightly better way is to wrap the conductors with copper shim/tape/foil until they are big enough. For Dinse welding connectors, which are made to suit a range of cable sizes, to get a good fit, I usually crimp on one or more uninsulated bootlace ferrules to fatten up the cable (even 25mm2 cable into a 10-25 Dinse is very loose).

The dies on the Chinese hydraulic crimpers are a bit hit and miss. I tend to need to use one lower size than the printed cable size would suggest (especially with Anderson connector terminals, less so than with normal lugs with a hole in them).

However, it only has an unspecified 'selection' of 10mm2 and 16mm2 items as well as a crimper that I don't need.

I was thinking of 5 each of 4, 6, 10, 16, 25 and 35mm2 each in M5, 6, 8, 10 and maybe 12 (so about 140 pieces in the box - to exclude 4mm2 M12 and 35mm2 M5).

I ordered a selection of Cembre lugs in popular sizes from fleabay and put them in a spare organiser box I had.

To be far they have the dies to suit standard sizes 4mm/6mm/10mm/16mm/25mm/35mm/50mm/70mm, they crimp a hex so they have to be the right size for them to work properly. What sizes would you need in between 10-25 other than 16?
