Lorry tailgate locking pins.

Evening everyone.
I am just about to start fabrication on a new tailgate for my lorry. The rear lock pins as I call them will need replacing. Anyone know where I can purchase these.

My local agri supplies place has them and other trailer bits and bobs. Try your nearest fane Valley stores.

Trailers and lorries use ant luce fasteners as well as those ramp fasteners, cheaper and quicker.

Yes I use them on the side of the tipper. But the volvo is a hotbox and need to replace like for like.as there is six tonne behind the tailgate when working.

Depends on the job. Heavier/stronger stuff uses the type in the OP's post, lightweight sides and ramps are OK with the anti luce kind.

Yes they definitely need to be the ones in the photo. Found them now. Will put them on the top as well as the bottom of the new tailgate. Has to be 100 percent safe with working out the back of tailgate with a load on them.see a guy seriously injured many years ago when a tailgate cracked across its weld and came off.

Yes sorry. A tarmac hotbox. I use the shoots in the gate to fill my barrows . Even thoe it's not tipped full up in the air there is still a lot of weight behind it.
