That's how you are supposed to use them, one way for grinding disks and the other way for thinner cutting disks.

I literally dont know now how many I actually do own must be in the regen of 6-8? I just keep buying them when they are cheap, over the years I have burnt out two---- my fault one cutting very thick ally in a hurry ---they dont like it but no grinder does and cant remember what did the other but was my stupid fault.

240v. I have a pair of them. Robbed the variable speed out of them for other tools, don't see the need for it much anyway.

iv used one and couldn't deal with the over the top safety guard, which of course is an easy fix, but the trigger has no lock on, which is a real pain for me as I use 4.5's in many tight areas or even if tis not tight it slows you down, that was the killer for me, but if you can deal with that I am sure they will be fine,

one word of warning, aldi warranty is not fast, if you actually have to go through the warranty route, I have an air ratchet from them, which broke (I also have an impact which has also broken) as I work on cars almost daily its fair enough, and they did honour their agreement and fix them, but it took a good three weeks! in which time I brought some silverline ones (which are identical BTW) as they have a 3 year garuntee too, and now I have 2 sets.

so basically buy 2 for if one fails.

yeah tried shouting only warranted for 2yrs and was 2yrs and a few days so I am not a happy bunny £315 ish and now want to charge me to repair, the repair is more than it is to buy another gun / make,
looking at angry jester make seem good, more powerful 1600 nm made in same factory as ingersol rand ? can get full size gun also a VERY compact gun 500nm for £200ish for the two have tested them and they are good.

I think you need to be having a serious word with your dealer. 3-4 weeks I think is the turnaround time on most things and I have never had anything take longer and I would not tolerate it.

Seems like one of those 'no brainer' things to me.

Either that, or buy one from aldi for 20 quid that has a 3 year warranty

And go back to using a breaker bar to crack them off first and tighten them afterwards

As we waited in line, he told me that the store will clear out the last week deals at low prices so they don't have to return them.
