i bought an old lathe 40 years ago and sold it on but kept the steady. its been rusting away since then . now I need one for a job I just dug it out 15 minutes later and it looks half decent after sandblasting it . just need to make a base for it now to suit the Harrison lathe . wont be anything fancy just functional from bits of metal I already have 







) and refused to change it. After a week it was still tacky despite a few days indoors in the hotpress so I went back to the shop and eventually got the name of their supplier.
