I made a thing! OK, it took the best part of two years but it bears a passing resemblance to the picture I found off the interweb;

Exercised the plasma cutter and welder, including my son's first go at plasma cutting (old video, but it's been a long project!) - I even used the anvil!;

Looks great, the time it takes is immaterial as long as you enjoyed the process of making it!

My sister helped with a job once, and is like a big kid when the oxy torch comes out.
When you work in an office all day "cutting with fire" as she calls it is fun.

If I can look at a 'thing' and know what it is then that's the sort of artwork I like.. and I like that, personally I would have went for the rusty look but each to their own re finishes.
